November 11th is Usability Day, also known as "Make Things Easier Day", which begs the question: are we actually making things easier for people with disabilities? Recent surveys suggest no, not necessarily. Despite the best intentions of user experience designers and software developers, we are failing in our efforts to make software both accessible and usable for all.

DesignHammer and Ablr, an accessibility and inclusion company, participated in a well-attended panel during the recent Virtual UX Y'all Conference where they freely discussed concepts related to accessible web design and accessibility issues faced by the visual and hearing impaired today.

This fall, DesignHammer entered the Muse Creative Awards for the first time ever. Two projects ended up taking home one Gold and one Silver Award each, earning DesignHammer a total of four Muse Awards in the 2021 competition.

Thanks to the hard work of our team this past year and stellar reviews from our clients, DesignHammer has once again been recognized with an esteemed Clutch Leaders Award, listing us as the 2nd best digital agency in all of North Carolina for 2021.

DesignHammer has been awarded five dotCOMM Awards in the 2021 competition, including two Platinum Awards, one Gold Award, and two Honorable Mentions! Our agency has now received fifteen awards in total from the dotCOMM organization in the past 5 years.
