Takeaway: No one wants to be known as the person who doesn’t follow through. It may also hurt your professionally if you aren’t able to demonstrate recent projects in your portfolio. A good way to avoid partially completed projects is to force yourself to take a few minutes to consider what kind of time and energy the entire project will take. It is easy to get swept up in a new and exciting project, but if you can’t do it well, or finish it, then it may be wise to pass.
