March 11, 2003

At the Carolina Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication 2003 Annual Awards Banquet, Frank Yonnetti, DesignHammer Media Group, LLC Partner/Graphic Designer, along with RTI International was presented two awards for the 2002 redesign of the RTI International External Web Site in the Online Communication Competition. The development team was awarded both the Distinguished Online Communication Award and the Online Communication Best of Show Award.

Of the Distinguished Online Communication Award winning entry, the judges wrote “clearly superior work that applies the principles of technical communication in an outstanding way, particularly in the way it anticipates and fulfils the needs of its audience.”

The Carolina Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication Annual Awards Banquet drew many members to the Prestonwood Country Club, Cary on March 11, and showcased the vitality and skill of local technical writers, editors, and graphic designers.

“This is absolutely great to be included in such a wonderful event along with RTI. The success of this site design was greatly accomplished with the help of Stuart Somer (Web Designer/Developer, RTI International). Without his feedback, and great compliments, I don’t think it would have been as successful on so many levels,” said Yonnetti.
