DesignHammer is excited to announce its participation at the 2014 Nonprofit Technology Conference. The event is a three-day international gathering in Washington, D.C. for nonprofit professionals and is hosted by the Nonprofit Technology Network.
The Nonprofit Technology Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization for nonprofit professionals. NTEN works to empower members to strategically use technology more effectively and with a greater social impact.
The conference begins March 13 and stands as an opportunity for attendees to learn through seminars, training, consultations, and exhibitors about technology that can further their organization’s cause.
The 2013 conference attracted more than 1,600 attendees from 13 countries, and featured 250 speakers on topics covering leadership, communications, fundraising, and information technology.
As DesignHammer’s first time attending the conference, Managing Partner David Minton and Account Manager Stephen Pashby are looking forward to connecting with nonprofit professionals on an individual basis.
“We’re heavily invested in how we can use technology to solve problems for our nonprofit clients,” Minton said, “and I’m really looking forward to meeting folks from all over and learning about the technology they’ve implemented.”
Minton will speak on a panel at the conference, “Choosing the Right Partner for Your Next Website or CRM Project: Holding Hands Before You Get Married.” Other panel experts include Paula Jones from N.C. Center for Nonprofits, Eric Magnuson from Exponent Partners, and Marcy Rye from Wire Media.
The panel will serve as a dialogue for decision makers in the website and CRM buying process. The panel represents buyers and sellers in this process, and will empower attendees on how to choose a best-fit vendor for website or CRM projects, and how to design and manage the selection process internally.
As part of preconference activities, DesignHammer is sponsoring NTC Drupal Day for Nonprofit IT Professionals on Wednesday, March 12. Designed for nonprofit IT professionals in the NTEN community, this event is a hands-on opportunity for Drupal users of all levels to learn the latest in Drupal development through speakers, breakout sessions and trainings.
DesignHammer will also exhibit at the NTC Science Fair, which serves as an opportunity for attendees to connect to organizations and businesses that provide technology solutions for nonprofits.
