Durham, NC – Durham-based Web design and development company DesignHammer has recently completed a redesign of the historic Carolina Theatre website, now live at www.carolinatheatre.org. The theatre has been a downtown Durham landmark since the main stage opened in 1926. Today, the Carolina Theatre is a primary contributor to the performing arts scene in the Triangle, producing live shows featuring nationally touring acts as well as offering regular screenings of classic and contemporary films.
Management of Carolina Theatre sought a redesign for the website in early 2009 to bring the theatre’s web experience up to date as well as raise community awareness and involvement with the theatre through an engaging online presence. The new look for the website highlights the building’s unique historic characteristics while also generating a stylish vibe that accentuates the unique, modern performances presented on the main stage. A few upcoming 2010 performances at Carolina Theatre include Steven Wright, Chris Botti, and Train.
